History

Mark Kennedy combined his hard work and ingenuity to start Kenmark Construction nearly three decades ago, a business that today can easily be recognized for its modern and creative designs. Mark’s many successes were highlighted in 1998 when he was honored by his peers with the local “Builder of the Year” award presented by the Home Builders Association of Billings, as well as, the statewide “Builder of the Year” award presented by the Montana Building Industry Association. In the ensuing years, Kenmark has earned many different awards, making them the company they are today.

Kenmark Construction became Incorporated in 1990. Mark’s brother, Matt Kennedy, joined the company as General Partner and Superintendent in 1992. From a company that started out building homes, Mark and Matt have developed Kenmark into an enterprise that now includes remodeling and commercial projects, subdivision planning, land and project development and investment properties.

Kenmark Construction Corporation has always attributed its success to its employees, some of the most talented individuals in the building industry. Site superintendent, Matt Kennedy, brings his valuable construction knowledge and experience to the Kenmark team. Angela Kowalski (Office Manager) and Cindy Kennedy, (Special Projects Manager & Matt’s wife) are two long time employees who strive to insure everything runs smoothly in the office. In 2003 Mark & Matt Kennedy took on Mark Allen as partner. Mark Allen concentrates on the design process and works to insure that every detail is to the customers liking, from a single rooms color to carpeting for the entire home. Kenmark Construction also recognizes the extensive group of sub-contractors, craftsman and suppliers, each of which possess tremendous talent and knowledge to help achieve the desired home.
